Andrea Sogand Moon serves as an attorney with the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation's Accountability & Compliance Team at the Office of Legal Affairs in Sacramento, where she assists in achieving compliance with legal mandates, class action court orders, and statutory and regulatory requirements for the department. Andrea is the recipient of the OLA Above & Beyond Award for her service to the Office of Legal Affairs and the Department. Andrea currently serves as the Secretary for the Sacramento County Bar Association Public Law Section and is an attorney member of the Anthony M. Kennedy American Inn of Court.

While at McGeorge, Andrea was elected to the SBA for four years and acted as President of the Animal Law Society and Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. Andrea is an alum of the Federal Defender Clinic, Moot Court competition team and the Kennedy Inn.

Andrea holds a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley and was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, Eta Chapter. Andrea received her J.D. from McGeorge with distinction and was the recipient of the Outstanding Student Achievement Award and the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Student Award.

Andrea's husband is an electrical engineer working in the defense industry and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Andrea and her husband have one daughter.
