Dawn Sweatt is a litigation associate with Berliner Cohen in San Jose. Her civil litigation practice focuses on corporate services, real property disputes, trust and estate litigation, and other business related litigation. Mrs. Sweatt has had substantial trial experience in her role as a litigator.

Prior to joining Berliner Cohen, Mrs. Sweatt was an associate attorney with Silicon Valley Law Group in San Jose, California and Hansen, Culhane, Kohls, Jones & Sommer LLP in Roseville, California. Mrs. Sweatt received her B.A., with honors, in Economics from California State University Chico. She then graduated with distinction from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law where she obtained her J.D. in 2005 with a Certificate in Advocacy.

While in law school at McGeorge, she was one of only two people selected to participate in a prestigious internship in the California Governors' Office of Legal Affairs in 2004, and completed internships at the California State Attorney General's Office and the District Attorney's Office where she conducted several jury trials. Mrs. Sweatt was also a recipient of a Witkin award for academic excellence, received honors in oral advocacy, elected as a national member of the Order of The Barristers, admitted to the Traynor Honor Society, and competed on McGeorge's nationally ranked mock trial team.

In addition to the Supreme Court of California, Mrs. Sweatt is admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts of Eastern and Northern California and United States Bankruptcy Court of Northern California. She is also a member of the State Bar of California, American Bar Association, Santa Clara County Bar Association, and a University of the Pacific Alumni Board Member.
