Part-Time Flexibility

Not every future lawyer has the luxury to study the law full-time. Many of our graduates have full-time jobs or families — or both. At Pacific McGeorge, we offer the flexibility of rigorous full-time or part-time programs to earn your law degree.

The law school residency requirement for graduation is completing six (6) full-time semesters (three years) or eight (8) part-time semesters (four years). Through Summer Sessions, part-time students may combine summer school work (at least eight (8) units) to take the place of one part-time semester, reaching graduation in 3 1/2 years.

Typically, part-time students attend during the evening to enable regular employment. Those who have nighttime employment or family responsibilities can arrange to attend part-time during day hours, or slow down the program to 4 1/2 or 5 years.

  • 3+3 Programs — The 3+3 Program allows students in the University of the Pacific undergraduate program with junior status and good academic standing, to apply to Pacific McGeorge School of Law to simultaneously complete a final year of undergraduate study and your first year of law school.
