The Pacific McGeorge Mock Trial Competition Team entered a record five events this fall. Although it won no first-place trophies, the team accorded itself well against some of the best competition in the country.

In mid-October, Juliet Cho, Tiffany Corona, Heidi Holmquist and Jessica Jorgenson competed in the San Diego Criminal Defense Attorneys event won by American University. Thienvu Ho, ’98, and Rashaan Jones, ’07, coached the team. Chris Chin. Lauren Layne, Ada Tsai and David Wiksell represented the law school in the CCAJ event that same weekend in Los Angeles. Tim Balcom, ’97, accompanied the team.

Under the direction of Coaches Meghan Barker, ’06, and Jason Schaff, ’06, the team of Sally Noma, Robert Rice, Ray Thomas, and Mai Trieu made a strong showing at the Buffalo Niagara event held November 7-10.

The following weekend, the foursome of Caroline Ham, Chris Nemetz, Katherine Rankin and Scott Schweibish lost a close match to host Loyola, upset Stetson, and fell to eventual runner-up Pepperdine in the 7 th annual National Civil Trial Competition in Los Angeles. Matt Pearson, ’03, coached the team.

From November 21-23, Rema Al-Jundi, Meredith Cammisa, Alan Donato and Jeff Schaff battled it out at the William W. Daniel National Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia. Brandon Takahashi, ’06, and Leland Washington, ’01, coached the team.
