Professor Julie Davies received the John G. Sprankling Faculty Scholarship Award on September 19 at the annual McGeorge Faculty Dinner at the Sutter Club.

Davies was honored for her recent scholarship, which includes Global Issues in Tort Law, a 2008 book she co-wrote with Professor Paul Hayden of Loyola Law School.

Two of her recent articles, “Reforming the Tort Reform Agenda,” 25 Wash. U. J.L. & Pol’y 119 (2007), and “Re-Imagining Public Enforcement of Title IX,” 2007 BYU Educ. & L.J. 25 (2007), which was written with CSUS psychology professor Lisa Bohon, were also cited.

Previous winners of the award include Professors John Sprankling, Thom Main and Brian Landsberg.
