McGeorge's Diversity Week 2015, an Admissions & Diversity Initiatives Annual Program, kicks off with a Mixer at 5 p.m. on Feb. 2 with Dean Mootz, Carmen-Nicole Cox, '11 and Samantha Pottenger, '09 at the McGeorge House. The theme for this year’s Diversity Week is "Different Perspectives, Unique Insights."

The McGeorge Distinguished Speaker Series is hosting "A Celebration of Civil Rights: Special Guest Professor Ian Haney-López; Honoree Professor Brian Landsberg" on Feb. 3 starting at 5 p.m. in the Courtroom, as well as a film screening, "Soft Vengeance: Albie Sachs and the New South Africa (Abby Ginsberg, filmmaker)," on Feb. 4 at 5 p.m. in Classroom H.

Noon activities for the week are an Employment and Labor Law Panel on Feb. 3, a Food Fair on Feb. 4, and “The Man, They Myth, The Legend: Nathanial Colley and His Stance Against Discrimination” discussion on Feb. 5.

The week concludes on Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. with “An Evening with the Brubeck Institute Jazz Faculty" in the Student Center. Judge Morrison England, '83, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, and Fredericka McGee, '91, General Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff, California State Assembly Speaker, will speak at this final Diversity Week 2015 event.
