Handley, Mahr Lead Class of 2007

Breann Handley and Nicholas Mahr were the valedictorians of Pacific McGeorge’s Class of 2007 that was honored in a commencement ceremony on May 12 at Sacramento’s Memorial Auditorium.
Handley, who hails from Mission Viejo and graduated summa cum laude from Chapman University with a B.A. in English, finished with the highest academic standing in the Day Division. Mahr, a native of Jackson, California who holds a B.A. in Political Science from UC Davis, led the Evening Division. Niki Zupanic and Michelle Laidlaw, both of whom were recently inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif, served as student speakers at the graduation. Laura Friedman and Handley received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Awards. Patricia Eichar, Mancy Pendergrass, Shawn Borin and Laidlaw were honored for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement. Rashaan Jones and Patrick Holstine were cited for Outstanding Student Achievement. Justice Richard Goldstone, a founding member of the Constitutional Court of South Africa and former chief prosecutor of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunals for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia, received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree. Pacific McGeorge awarded 293 Juris Doctor degrees and 24 Master of Laws degrees. Dean Elizabeth Rindskopf Parker and University President Donald V. DeRosa presided over the ceremony.
