Harris Will Speak on Post-9/11 Attorney Responsibilities

Professor George Harris will speak on Saturday, January 8 at the Association of American Law Schools’ Annual Convention in San Francisco at a meeting of that group’s National Security Law Section.
Harris, who was the second chair for the defense in the trial of convicted Taliban fighter John Walker Lindh, will discuss “The Rule of Law and the Professional responsibility of Executive Branch Lawyers in the Wake of 9/11.” Harris’ presentation will be part of a section panel on “The Role of Lawyers and the War on Terrorism: Post-9/11 Challenges.”
Pacific McGeorge was one of the prime movers in the formation of the AALS National Security Law Section and it will be publishing a national security law journal in 2005 under the direction of Professor John Sims.
