Horn and Lovell Win 1L Moot Court Comp

Tyler Horn and Kynsie Lovell took the honors in the 8th Annual 1L Moot Court Competition, which was held on April 16, 2016.

Horn earned the Best Overall Advocate award as well as the Best Oralist award. Lovell received the Best Brief award. Michael Shepherd directed the competition with the assistance of other Honors Board members. Alexis Holmes was a finalist in the competition.

The final round judges were Michael Rhoads, Deputy Attorney General, California Department of Justice; Chelsea Tibbs, '15, Law Clerk at Kronick Moskovitz and former McGeorge Moot Court Honors Board Executive Chair; and, Bill Shapiro, Senior Trial Attorney, U.S. Department of Justice.

Professor Mary-Beth Moylan, and Moot Court Honors Board Members James Ward, '16, and Brooke Fries, '16 judged the semifinal rounds.
