On Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, Pacific McGeorge hosted the annual Jeffrey K. Poilé LGBT Civil Rights Scholarship Reception honoring this year's scholarship recipients, as well as friends and alumni who support the scholarship. This year's event celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Scholarship as well as the 30th Anniversary of the founding of the McGeorge Lambda Law Students Association.

Established in 2002 by Professor Levine to honor his life partner, the Poilé Scholarship has helped 44 extraordinary students use their legal education to further the civil rights of the LGBT community. Thanks to generous donors, the scholarship fund has raised almost $344,000, and Pacific McGeorge is proud to be one of a handful of law schools with a scholarship earmarked for the betterment of the LGBT community.

Featuring Special Guest

Jennifer C. Pizer, Legal Director and Arnold D. Kassoy Senior Scholar of Law at The Williams Institute, UCLA School of Law.

Honoring

Morrison & Foerster LLP for their LGBT legal work.

All proceeds benefited Poilé Scholarships.
