"Judicial Ethics and Accountability: At Home and Abroad" was the fourth in a series of symposia sponsored by the Capital Center for Public Law & Policy and the Sierra Health Foundation. This year's event was also co-sponsored by the World Affairs Council of Northern California and featured leading academicians and legal experts discussing problems faced by judicial systems, nationally and internationally.

Professor Paul Paton, the director of the Pacific McGeorge Ethics Across the Professions Initiative, organized and emceed the symposium.
