London Program Underway
June 20, 2008
McGeorge’s second annual Summer International Legal Studies program in London is underway with 30 students enrolled in a three-week session.
“It is a remarkable opportunity to interact with students as they encounter new horizons in the law while sitting at the historic seat of the common law,” said Professor Michael Malloy, the director of the summer program.
Students from McGeorge, Fordham, William Mitchell, North Dakota and the United Arab Emirates University are enrolled in the program at Queen Mary University of London School of Law.
After a welcoming dinner, classes began on Monday, June 16. Professor Leslie Jacobs is teaching Terrorism and Public Policy with an assist from Professor Malloy. Professor Peter Alldridge of the host institution is co-teaching International White Collar Crime with Professor Michael Vitiello. QMUL’s Ian Walden is teaching European Computer and Telecommunications Law for the second consecutive summer.
“We, students and faculty alike, are looking forward to exploring not only our course work but also our professional heritage in the weeks ahead,” Malloy said.
