Mayville Top Oral Advocate in GLS II Final Four

Second-year student Robert Mayville won the Top Oral Advocate Award at the Pacific McGeorge Global Lawyering Skills (GLS) Final Four competition on April 10, 2014.

Associate Justice Louis Mauro, California Third District Court of Appeal, presided over the program. He was joined by California Third District Court of Appeal Associate Justice Andrea Lynn Hoch, and California Third District Court of Appeal Associate Justice Elena J. Duarte.

The three finalists who joined Mayville in the last round were Tashayla Billington, Jacqueline Hang and Annette Rose. The Best Brief awards went to James Bradford, Tashayla Billington, Michelle Daniels and Suzan Karayel.

Teaching assistants this academic year included Ophir Chador, Kailyn Ellison, Danielle Hash, Mahavir Jogani, Shawn Murphy, Michele Pai, Elizabeth Ramos, Stephanie Roose, Jill Schubert, Anastasya Uskov and Jonathan Wood. Staff member Annette Bethea serves as the GLS assistant.

Professors Mary-Beth Moylan is the director of the GLS II program. Adrienne Brungess, Gretchen Franz, Hether Macfarlane, Scott Mallery, Caitlin Manoogian, Maureen Moran, Michael Pinkerton, Jeff Proske, Ric Schickele, and Ed Telfeyan comprise the GLS faculty.
