Three McGeorge professors participated in a symposium honoring the work of Professor Chris Blakesley at University of Nevada, Las Vegas Boyd School of Law on April 7.

Professor Blakelsey taught at McGeorge School of Law from 1982 to 1987, and he will retire from UNLV Boyd School of Law at the end of the current academic year. The symposium, titled Reconsidering the International Legal Order in Changing Times, explored emerging trends and challenges in international law and human rights law.

Distinguished Professor Emeritus Linda Carter moderated a panel on "Roundtable discussion on trends in international criminal law," and Professor Raquel Aldana, Associate Dean of Faculty Scholarship at McGeorge, was a panelist. She also interviewed professor Blakesley about comparative criminal law and criminal procedure. Distinguished Professor of Law Stephen McCaffrey was a panelist in a discussion of recent developments in international law.
