Moot Court Teams Fall In SD Quarterfinals

Two McGeorge teams competed in the San Diego National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Tournament, which was held November 5-7 at the University of San Diego School of Law.

Mark Carlson, '10, and Jessalee Samar, '10, formed one team while Joel Demant, '10, and Andrea Dupray,'11, comprised the other entry. Both teams advanced to the quarter-finals of the tournament, placing in the top eight of the 40 teams in the competition. Stanford won the event with the University of Kansas taking second and Boston College finishing as the second runner-up.

Professor Ed Telfeyan, '75, coached the team with the able assistance of two fourth-year Evening Division students, Vanessa Whitnell and Gil Vega, competed for the Moot Court Honors Board team last year.
