Salzburg Reunion Connects International Alumni

The International Reunion kicked off on Friday, July 11, 2014 with a welcome reception and dinner with Supreme Court Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy with students of the Salzburg Summer Program at the Stieglkeller Restaurant at the Salzburg Fortress.
University of the Pacific President Pamela A. Eibeck spoke at the opening reception. Pacific McGeorge professor Christine Manolakas, who served as the On-Site Summer Program Director this year in Salzburg, attended the reception, as did Assistant Dean Charlene Mattison, '06.
On Saturday July 12, there was a CLE (Continuing Legal Education) Program at the Hotel Sacher. Professor Joseph Smallhoover, Managing Partner, Bryan Cave, Paris, presented "Beer and the Law: Beer as a Paradigm in International Business;" Carmen Pombo Morales, Director, Fundación Fernando Pombo, presented "Business and Human Rights: the Role of Business Lawyers;" and Rainer Palmstorfer, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, University of Salzburg, Department of Public Law, presented: "Current Challenges for the European Union."
The alumni reunion group then went on a guided walking tour of Old Town Salzburg, followed by an international alumni reception at the Hotel Sacher Salzburg.
The McGeorge International Alumni Chapter has held biennial reunion conferences for nearly two decades. Recent events have taken place in Rome (2012), Paris (2010), Vienna (2008), Copenhagen (2006), Zurich (2004) and Milan (2002).
