Trial Team Second In San Diego

A Pacific McGeorge team finished second in the San Diego Defense Lawyers Mock Trial Competition held October 22-24.

Third-year Day Division students Juliet Cho, Will Jackson, Cathleen Penney and Kate Rankin formed the runner-up team in a field that featured 16 teams from 10 different law schools. Matt, '03, and Jamie, '02, Pearson coached the team, which was edged out by UC Berkeley for the top prize. Melissa Greenidge, '10, Jennifer Kishimizu, '11, April Matsinger, '11, and Ada Tsai, '10 comprised another Pacific McGeorge team that fell in the preliminary rounds.

On the same weekend, a Pacific McGeorge team composed of Diane Coderniz, '11, Robert Rice, '10, Jesse Saucedo, '11, and Colleen Villareal, '10, competed in the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice tournament in San Francisco. They were knocked out in the early rounds.
