A graduate of Arizona State and Harvard Law School, Professor Raquel Aldana is a prolific scholar who is an internationally recognized expert on matters of immigration law and human rights in the Americas. She is the founder of the Pacific McGeorge Inter-American Program, an innovative project committed to educating bilingual and bicultural lawyers who wish to pursue a domestic or transnational career with a focus on Latino or U.S Latin American relations. Since 2014, she has also served as the Associate Dean for Scholarship at Pacific McGeorge law school. She has served on the SALT Board, including as Co-President, and is active in many other professional organizations.
