The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of law is committed to providing support to all students who require assistance in financing their law school education. The financial aid available to students includes federal loans, federal work study, and scholarships. Students who do not receiver scholarship awards in the first year may have an opportunity to earn scholarships in their second and third years for full time students and in their second, third, and fourth year for part time students. To apply for financial aid a student must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA: Title IV school code G03952). Continuing students must file this for each year they plan to attend school. You will receive a Financial Aid Award Letter during the summer. The award will consist of Federal Direct Unsubsidized loan, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS loan and may also include scholarship funds.
You are encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Office if you have any questions about the financial aid process, general information on budgeting for law school, or your financial aid award. The Financial aid Office is here to help you through the financial aid process and to help you make legal education as affordable as possible.
