Assistant Dean Naccarato assists the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in overseeing the Academic Department. He also teaches Criminal Law and counsels students on personal and academic matters. As a retired Army JAG Colonel, he works with military veterans and is the faculty advisor to the Military Law Society. Before joining the faculty, he was a civil litigator for four years with Graham & James LLP and Livingston & Mattesich Law Corporation, both law firms in Sacramento. From 1970-1998, Dean Naccarato served as an Army JAG officer, including a tour in Vietnam. Among his assignments, he taught Criminal Law and Trial Advocacy as the Chairman of the Criminal Law Department at the Army Judge Advocate General's School in Charlottesville, Virginia. Following a one-year fellowship in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, he was the Chief of the Army's Litigation Division in Washington, D.C. Assistant Dean Naccarato was the Chief Justice of the California Military Appeals Panel from 2004-2008 and was the president of the Retired Army Judge Advocates from 2005-2012.
